The Colors of TRMD
At fifteen, Dr. Tanya made an oil painting that remains one of her favorites. Years later, its colors became the starting point for TRMD’s palette. The painting came first, before there was even a thought of the clinic. Yet when TRMD began to take shape, these colors felt right: warm, muted and familiar. She still has the painting. Now, in a different form, a little of it lives here.

The Clinical Eye
What really is dermatology? Dermatology is sometimes placed into two separate boxes. One is medical: diagnosing rashes, treating infections, managing chronic skin diseases. The Road to Two Specialties
How did Dr. Tanya become double board-certified?

From the Founder
Dr. Tanya Rae on a rainy Amsterdam morning, on her way to the European Academy of Dermatology and Venereology in September 2024. Our Values
Good care does not end with a prescription or procedure. We remain attentive to the process, the response, and the person throughout the course of care.

Long before symptoms become obvious elsewhere, the skin can offer important clues. Understanding the skin begins not with treatment, but with observation, careful evaluation and listening to what it’s trying to tell us. Pictured: Dermoscopic view of a psoriasis vulgaris plaque.

Welcome to TRMD Clinic
Every clinic has an opening day. Ours began much earlier. Long before the sign went up and the doors opened, there were years of study, training and lessons from colleagues and mentors. There were conversations with patients that stayed long after the consultation ended and quiet moments that slowly shaped a way of practicing medicine. In time, the practice needed a name. TRMD was born not simply as a clinic, but as a reflection of a core belief: that medical and dermatologic
