Over the years, my training has taught me to look at medicine from different distances.
Internal Medicine taught me to step back: to look past the surface, listen carefully and see the person behind the symptoms.
Dermatology taught me to look closely: to notice what is subtle and appreciate how much the skin can reveal what is happening within.
The longer I moved between the two, the more I came to see how each could deepen the other. The broader picture gives meaning to the detail; the detail can, in turn, change how we understand the whole.
TRMD grew from that way of seeing. It is, in many ways, how I have come to think about care itself.
I am grateful for every person who walks through our doors, and for the stories they allow us to hear.
Thank you for finding your way here. It means more than you might know.
